SYNAPS customers acclaim blended learning training with MEDIAplus eLearning

SYNAPS, a Belgian training centre specialising in office applications, offers blended learning training sessions with the MEDIAplus eLearning solution from Editions ENI. Customers appreciate the advantages of this type of training: learning at your own pace, flexibility, individualised training... and the educational quality of MEDIAplus eLearning, the only real environment solution.

Synaps is a Brussels-based training centre specialising in office applications. It provides training to users in business and major Belgian and international institutions such as the European Commission, which is one of its customers.
Synaps offers a whole range of training methods - class-based, blended learning, e-learning - which it adapts to each of its customers according to their needs and the audience concerned.

For its first training courses including an e-learning component, Synaps began working with several e-learning content providers, including MEDIAplus eLearning. "Then, we quickly realised that MEDIAplus eLearning is a far superior tool to the others, and we decided to keep only MEDIAplus eLearning," explains Jan Pintelon, Project Manager and Quality Manager at Synaps. "We were impressed with its high level of teaching quality, its interactivity, its preparatory courses for the Microsoft Office certifications, and the fact that it allows students to learn within the application itself. MEDIAplus eLearning is a far more complete tool than the others," he adds.

For several years, customers have increasingly been turning towards blended learning, drawn by its many advantages. Every month Synaps offers open sessions, where users can come and train on the software programs they want. They are accompanied by a trainer who explains to them how MEDIAplus eLearning works. They then customise their training courses according to their needs and cover additional subjects at their request. "We set up these open sessions in tutored resource centres to replace the scheduled, classroom-based sessions, which were not complete enough," elaborates Mr Pintelon. "Thus, we can always guarantee to the customer that the session will take place, unlike some of our competitors, who cancel sessions because there are not enough participants," he explains.

Users greatly appreciate being able to train at their own pace, according to their own needs, with a trainer who supports them throughout their training.

As for the trainers, the slight reluctance encountered when blended learning was introduced was soon swept away by the variety that this training method provides. "This way, a trainer can support trainers learning Word, Excel or PowerPoint on a single day... and in different languages, which requires greater versatility and flexibility. This adds value to their job," concludes Jan Pintelon.
