Aligning text vertically

Select the text that you wish to align vertically or click the relevant section.

From the Layout tab, go to the Page Setup group and click the images/13i10.png button.

Click the Layout tab.

Open the Vertical alignment list and click one of the options: Top, Center, Justified (to distribute the text down the length of the page) or Bottom.

The default vertical alignment is Top.

Open the Apply to list and choose which part of the document should have this type of alignment:

Whole document

Applies the alignment to all sections of the document.

Selected text

Applies the alignment to the selected text and inserts a section break before and after the selection.

This point forward

Applies the alignment from the insertion point to the end of the document, inserting a section break before the insertion point.

Selected sections

Applies the alignment to all selected sections.

This section

Applies the alignment to the section containing the insertion point.

These options depend on the context.


Click OK.
