Selecting within a table

Depending on what you are selecting, use one of the following techniques:

To select a cell: place the mouse pointer inside the cell and to the left (it takes the shape of a black arrow pointing top right) and click.

To select a column: place the mouse pointer above the column (it takes the shape of a black arrow pointing down) and click.

To select a row: place the mouse pointer to the left of the row (it takes the shape of an arrow pointing top right) and click.

To select a table: point to the top left corner and click the images/13i91.png button.

To select multiple contiguous cells, columns or rows: select the first cell, row or column; hold the left mouse button down while you drag across the other cells, columns or rows to be selected.

To cancel a selection, click any cell.

To select a cell, row, column or active table: click the corresponding button in the Select button (Layout tab - Table group).

You can use the [Tab] key to select the next cell or [Shift][Tab] to select the previous cell.
