Click the option that relates to the place at which you want to insert the AutoText: Insert at Page Header, Insert at Beginning of Section, etc.

Depending on the option you chose for the AutoText, the content of the AutoText is inserted at the insertion point, in a new paragraph, or in a new page.

The content of an AutoText can also be inserted using the Building Blocks Organizer dialogue box (Insert tab - Explore Quick Parts button - Building Blocks Organizer) select the name of the AutoText before clicking the Insert button.

Second method

This method does not let you insert the content of an AutoText in a new paragraph or in a new page, even if those options were selected in the Options list when you created it (cf. Creating an AutoText).

Place the insertion point in the document at the place where you want the content to appear.

Enter the name of the AutoText to be used, then click [F3].

The content of the AutoText is inserted at the insertion point.
