Apply a style and/or effect to an image

Select the image and, if needed, click the contextual Format tab.

To apply a style to an image, go to the Picture Styles group and click the More button images/13iac33.png in the bottom right-hand corner of the styles pane: this gallery shows more styles. However, you can also scroll down the list to see more styles.

If you are not sure which style to choose, point to an image to see how it would be represented in your document.

Several styles can be applied to a single picture.

The effects can also be defined from the Format Picture pane (Format tab - Picture Styles group - images/13i10.png button - Effects images/13i122.png icon) with the options from the Shadow, Reflection, Glow, Soft Edges, 3-D Format and 3-D Rotation categories. For more details on options linked to different styles, see the corresponding section in the Characters chapter. For the 3-D rotation options, see the section on Applying a 3-D rotation effect to an object from the Managing objects chapter.

Just like an image, you can apply a style or effect to a video.
