Présentation
This practical guide presents all the features of the Microsoft® Outlook 2013 application. It is for anyone who wishes to discover and deepen their knowledge of all of its features. After describing the environment including the ribbon and the new FILE tab, you will see how to connect Outlook to social networks (LinkedIn, Facebook). You will learn how to send messages of different formats, based on a template or not; you will see how to resend a message, how to recall a message that has already been sent or how to flag a message for follow up. You will also learn to reply to a message, forward a message, and manage any attachments. To complete your messages, you will learn how to insert a signature, attachment, calendar...
You will see how to configure your email in detail: choosing the default message format, creating signatures, managing messages when you are absent, applying conditional formatting to message text, managing unwanted mail and using Quick Steps to automate repetitive tasks (automatically forwarding certain messages to your manager, for example). You will also see how to manage your RSS feeds in Outlook.
The third part deals with the Calendar. You will learn how to manage your calendar to schedule an appointment, events, send and reply to a meeting invitation, publish and share Calendars and create Calendar groups... Outlook also lets you manage your contacts, schedule tasks and create notes. You will see how to manage items used in Outlook in detail: select, search, sort, filter and group items, arrange items by category... A chapter is devoted to archiving messages by creating Outlook data files (.pst).
The last chapter deals with the configuration of your e-mail application: how to edit and create new views, manage groups, shortcuts and folders, add an e-mail account and customise the ribbon.
