This practical guide provides detailed information about all the possibilities of Microsoft® PowerPoint 2021. It is aimed at anyone who wants to explore and familiarise themselves with all its features.

After becoming familiar with the working environment, the different views, and ways of managing documents (opening and saving presentations and templates, sharing and storing with OneDrive, managing photo albums, printing etc.), you will learn how to create and edit the various elements of a presentation: slides, masters, themes, backgrounds, sections and so on.

Moving on, you will learn how to create the content of each slide by entering outline and slide-specific text, going on to adjust the formatting. You will then learn how to create, adjust and format all kinds of objects: AutoShapes, tables, pictures, 3D models, audio, video, diagrams and charts. You will use the new video editing features: adding, cropping, applying artistic effects, trimming the start or the end of the video etc. You will also learn how to adjust pictures (artistic effects, removing backgrounds, reflections, colour correction, compression etc.).

You will then be ready to run your first slide show and include animation effects, clickable images representing one or more slides (summary zoom, slide zoom, and section zoom), notes and more. You will learn how to set the timing of slides, add transitions (including the popular Morph effect), save the slideshow as a video file in order to re-use the animation in other presentations, or share it with your contacts via DailyMotion or YouTube.

There is a section on group work, with a detailed explanation of how to share a presentation saved to your OneDrive area, and how to work as a team on a presentation by co-authoring it. The last section is devoted to advanced functions, such as customising the ribbon, linking to Word and Excel, and managing your user account.
